There was this time, about two weeks ago, when I told someone I’ve had feelings for them for the last seven years, and the feeling was enormous and amazing, despite this huge possibility of the feeling not being returned (not the point). It reminded me of this quote from the movie We Bought A Zoo, “All you need is 20 seconds of insane courage and I promise you something great will come of it.” It’s not the most incredible moment in my life, but it’s certainly the bravest—and scariest. I don’t think I’ve ever taken a chance like that, like a plunge into the void.
